On February 11, 2011, "Uncle Morrie" passed away at the age of 82. For 36 years he collected sayings that he found personally meaningful. This began in 1971 when he compiled his annual list of most favorite sayings that he mailed around the holidays to friends, family and business associates. Born in Gary, Indiana on June 13, 1928, he was one of four children of Max and Celia Bennett who imigrated to Amercia from Lithuania. Uncle Morrie died February 11, 2011 in Los Angeles. Never married, and with no children of his own, he was survived by his 4 nieces, a 1 nephew and 9 grand nieces and nephews. This site is dedicate to "Uncle Morrie" and his favorite sayings.
